New Protoss units for Brood War

The Corsair

The Corsair is a Protoss Support Fighter that was created by the Dark Templar specifically to combat both Terran and Zerg troops. It is an air-to-air unit only. It uses spells that nullify a ground unit's ranged and melee attacks, but does not effect spell casting units, (Templar,Defiler)they are still able to use spells. The Corsair is cheaper than the Scout, it has a faster attack, and does normal damage. The Scout can still attack ground units, and is a more durable fighter than the Corsair.
The Dark Templar

The Dark Templar is a ground unit with a melee attack like the Zealot. However, it can cloak like the ghost. It is not yet known if the Dark Templar will need to have cloaking researched or not. Dark Templars will have one other special ability, that is the ability to merge into Dark Archons. Once considered Heretics, they have rejoined their Khala bretheren, and are a force to be feared.
The Dark Archon

The Dark Archon is a Protoss Psionic entity. Although physically weak, the Dark Archon is posessed with strong Psionic power. The Dark Archon will be a powerful new spell caster for the Protoss. It has a number of useful abilitys, which are:

Feedback: This spell will suck energy from an enemy unit and will also deal it damage.

Maelstrom: This spell stuns all non-mechonized units in the area for a short time.

Mind Control: This spell allows the Dark Archon to take control of any enemy unit. However, this spell drains all of the Dark Archons energy & shields.

Some interesting notes: Mind Control used on a transport will also render all units being transported under the control of the Dark Archon.-Also, You can mind control a worker unit of another species and create another race to control. You can mind control any unit, nobody is immune to mind control (except scarabs/interceptors/spidermines).
