BroodWars Impressions Page
Some thoughts:
1. I loved it. I played it for about 36 straight hours, but it did kinda leave me up in the air at the end. Please don't mistake my gripes to mean that I didn't like it, again Blizzard has given us a SUPERB realtime space adventure.
(But, I don't think it was as good as the original, but what sequel ever is?)
1. They didn't introduce or give enough insite into Duran.
2. Too many loose ends at the end.
3. Introduced the theory into the next StarCraft edition w/ the hybrids, but just left it without any thought or insight.
4. Too easy to see that the Matriarch, and Duran weren't on the up&up.
5. Fenix.
6. Just used the Protoss temple, but didn't explain or go into how they could have used the power further.
7. I hate endings that are obvious set ups for another edition.
Complaints
What did you think of the new units?
1. The Zerg units basically Suck, I can't see myself ever using either one of them.
2. The Terran units were interesting, the medic is an advantage. But the Valkyrie is a waste, if I want something like it, I'll just build some BattleCruisers, much more effective.
3. The Protoss units rule! The new Dark Templar is awesome, I'll never use Zealots again. (slight exageration) The Dark Archon rocks, although it cannot attack directly like the Archon, the Mind Control rules. I used one to take over 4 BattleCruisers in one game, what a huge swing of power. The Corsair is a waste,(too weak) don't bother.
